1st August Farm Brunch

Home-made plaited loaf, apple tart, hearty “rösti” potatoes with fried egg, plus cheese and meat platters and Bircher muesli. What could be better than to start Switzerland’s National Day with a copious farm brunch?

Land service (Agriviva)

Get to know new people, experience nature and variety and breath in the farm air. Agriviva makes all this possible – for young people aged between 14 and 25. There is a great deal to discover during an assignment: help in the cowshed, look after children, pick cherries, bring in hay, assist with weeding, make products for the farm shop or feed the animals. There is a wide range of potential tasks. What makes this opportunity even more exciting is that the Agriviva farming families are just as diverse as Swiss agriculture. Hungry for more?

From the farm

Strawberries, tomatoes or milk from your local region? You’ll find fresh produce in your local farm shop. And our farming families offer a great deal more than just vegetables or meat from their farm – drinks in the “Besenbeiz” farm tavern, a night in the hay, or trekking with animals – there’s plenty to experience on Swiss farms.
