The name says it all: on Farm Open Day, more than 80 farming families throughout Switzerland open their farm gates and invite you to come and discover life on their farm. Immerse yourself in this exciting world of nature, animals, plants and farming technology. A delightful experience for all the family!

Activities for young and old alike

From tours of the farm, educational trails, petting zoos, games, competitions and market stands, right through to catering, the farms offer a varied range of activities for young and old alike. Each farming family draws up their own individual programme – just wait and see what they have in store for you!

First-hand information

Have you always wondered what life on a farm is like? Where the food comes from? How farming families look after their animals? And what keeps the farmers busy on their farm? To provide you with answers to all these questions, plus many more, the farming families open up their farms to visitors once a year. Experience farming right up close and get first-hand information.

Plan your visit

Farm Open Day is held every year. All you have to do is look for a farm in the Farm Search and make your way there with your family and friends on Open Day. It doesn’t cost anything and you don’t have to book. It’s up to you whether you visit just one farm or go on a cycling or hiking tour and call in on a number of farms. Everything is possible – plan your visit as it suits you best!
